Context
SMEs with 5 to 50 employees usually have neither a CFO nor a financial analyst: accounting goes through an external accountant, and margin or cash-flow issues are only discovered after the fact, for lack of continuous visibility.
Mission
Designed an AI financial agent — connectors to data sources (accounting APIs, banking, CSV import), PostgreSQL storage via async SQLAlchemy, data modeling with dbt Core, a tool-use agent that queries financial tools (margins, cash flow, unpaid invoices, anomalies) and produces a structured weekly brief or answers in natural language. Next.js dashboard with integrated chat, async tasks via Celery and Redis. Project actively in development: the architecture and infrastructure are in place, the agent is under active construction.
Impact
The goal: an automatic weekly financial brief and instant natural-language answers about the company’s data, where SMEs today often wait several weeks to get consolidated figures from their accountant.
